How the Conservatives should respond to Labour’s first King’s Speech

As I set out in my last post, Labour aim to become the natural party of Government by manoeuvring to the free market right of the Conservatives.

The Conservatives must now respond to today’s King’s Speech with a Kiss of Death strategy: they must support Labour’s rightward move, encouraging them to go further while condemning them for 14 years of wasted hard left Opposition. Opposition which held the Overton window of plausible policy in a position of failure, much to the detriment of the public.

Only that way can the Conservatives avoid destruction and begin to fracture an apparently unassailable Labour party in the Commons.
